Nigerian Army Kills Two Of Gana’s Gang Members

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday stated they eliminated 2 armed militias connected to late Benue gang leader, Terwase Akwaza extensively called Gana.

The disclosure was made in a statement by Organizer of Defence Media Operations, John Eneche.



The declaration reads, “Following actionable intelligence on the possible hideout of residues of late Gana’s militia aspects around Adu General Location in Chanchanji Council ward of Takum Local Government Location of Taraba State, troops of Sector 2 deployed at Gbise in Katsina Ala City Government Location of Benue State in conjunction with troops of Sector 4 carried out a joint dawn raid operation on the identified hideout at Adu.











” In the course of the operation, troops had contact with the armed militias who fired at troops as they surrounded their position. Soldiers quickly responded, forcing the bandits to get away the camp in disarray into the surrounding forest. In the course of the encounter, 2 armed militias were neutralised. Two locally made pistols were recovered from the outlaws.

” Thereafter, troops carried out a raid on another recognized armed outlaws hideout at Chanchanji in Takum Local Federal Government Location of Taraba State and Sai in Katsina Ala Local Federal Government Location of Benue State throughout which three suspects particularly Saalu Igbua Terlumun, Benjamin Valentine and Milton Gbegi were jailed at Sai while Isaac Hilega aka Bawasa and Godwin Terwase were arrested at Chanchanji.

Gana was killed last week by the armed force while on his way to accept an amnesty by the Benue State Federal Government.
